Self Help Housing helps you apply for financing and complete all the paperwork to become a homeowner.

Your home is financed through a unique combination of loans and the equity you earn by working to help build your home.

• The construction is financed through a loan you obtain from USDA Rural Development.
• No cash down payment is required.
• The sweat equity you earn by working on the homes is your down payment on your loan.
• The interest on your loan may be subsidized for low and very low income borrowers.
• Your loan is repaid in a period up to 33 years.
