City Municipal Swimming Pool and Spraygrounds
The
Junction City Municipal Swimming Pool is a 50-meter, 8 lane Olympic
size pool. Renovated in 1988, the
pool complex also has an intermediate pool three feet deep, a toddler
wading pool and a triple slide installed in 2005. The slide has
360-degree, 180-degree and 90-degree tubes. The structure is awesome
at 28 feet high and is a favorite attraction at the facility.
The
facility also has a concessions area that sells hot dogs, giant
pretzels with cheese, cheeseburgers, rib sandwiches, snow cones,
nachos, assorted candy and Coca Cola products.
The
newest addition to the pool complex is the Spraygrounds, a 4400
sq. ft. water wonderland with water canons, jumping jets, crown
geysers, and a palm tree that sprays water from the leaf petals.
The
City Pool has the most competitive fees in the area. A family season
swim pass is $90.00, a single season swim pass is $30.00. Daily
admission is $2.00 for children and $3.00 for adults. The facility
is open daily from 1-7 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
