The Junction City Police Department's Tactical Response Unit (T.R.U.) was formed in 2000 with 6 officers picked during a selection process. It has since grown to 10 members. The T.R.U.'s mission is to take action in situations where a regular police response would be ineffective. Through specialized training, expertise and equipment, the T.R.U. strives to protect the lives of all involved. T.R.U. is under the Command of Captain Breci. Unit Supervisor and unit training officer is Lt. Keith Fitzgerald. T.R.U. is a part-time specialty unit that trains each month and is ready to respond at a moments notice. |
