Geary Community Hospital is a 92-bed, not-for-profit
hospital. It's history spans more than 93 years and exemplifies
quality patient care, constant growth, and outstanding leadership.
More than 20 full-time physicians and many part-time physicians
represent more than 20 specialties and provice care for approximately
2,700 inpatients and 50,000 outpatients each year.

Prairie Community Health Center
Konza Prairie Community Health Center (KPCHC)
is a federally qualified health care center that serves Junction
City and surrounding commuities. KPCHC accepts most health insurance
and offers a sliding fee scale to make health care affordable and
accessible to anyone, with or without insurance. Phones are answered
24 hours a day and walk-ins are welcome. Comprehensive primary care,
mental health therapy and other services are available. For an appointment

The mission of Geary County USD 475 is to inspire learning empowering
all students to become contributing members of society with the
personal, professional and social skills necessary for their success.
Geary
County Schools (USD 475) comprise the public schools in Junction
City, Fort Riley, Milford and Grandview Plaza. The district operates
14 elementary schools, one middle school in Junction City, and one
middle school on Fort Riley. Junction City High School serves both
Junction City and Fort Riley students. JCHS is a Talent Development/Career
Academy high school and also offers an Army JROTC program. All schools
are fully accredited by the state of Kansas.
The
district’s motto is “We Believe All Can Achieve.”
Serving military families connected to the U.S. Army at Fort Riley,
the district offers a rich, culturally diverse educational environment.
In 2007, Geary County schools received 105 State Standard of Excellence
Awards, and all schools achieved Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP),
as required under the No Child Left Behind federal requirements.
A
lighthouse district in the area of curriculum and instruction, USD
475 is home to one of four nationally recognized high-performing
schools honored by Education Trust, Inc; four Title 1 Distinguished
Schools; six No Child Left Behind National Blue Ribbon Schools;
and six Governor’s Achievement Award schools. USD 475 is recognized
as a leader in student-centered instruction, staff development,
and use of technology in the classroom.
