The Code Enforcement Department inspects construction as work progresses. A new building construction has a minimum of 15 inspections. Inspectors make sure that all construction meets or exceeds the current building codes as specified by City Ordinance. Building Codes currently adopted are: 2003 International Building Code, the 2003 International Mechanical Code, 2003 International Plumbing Code, and the 2002 National Electrical Code, 2003 Residential Code and the 2003 International Existing Building Code.
