Code Enforcement Department

The Code Enforcement Department inspects construction as work progresses. A new building construction has a minimum of 15 inspections. Inspectors make sure that all construction meets or exceeds the current building codes as specified by City Ordinance.

The Building Codes currently adopted are:

• 2003 International Building Code
• 2003 International Mechanical Code
• 2003 International Plumbing Code
• 2002 National Electrical Code
• 2003 Residential Code
• 2003 International Existing Building Code
