City
Manager
Gerry
Vernon was appointed City Manager on January 8, 2010.
The
City Manager is the chief administrative officer of the City, responsible
to the City Commission. The City Manager provides direction and
general management for all functions for the City, and ensures that
policies and ordinances of the city are faithfully executed.
As
chief administrative officer, the city manager directs the administration
of all departments and offices of the city, prepares and submits
the annual budget and capital improvement plan, and reports on the
finances and activities of the City at the end of each fiscal year.
He also assists citizens in finding information about City services,
handling citizen complaints and managing a comprehensive public
information program.

Assistant
City Manager
Mike
Guinn is the City's first Assistant City Manager. He began
work with the City on October 1, 2005.
The
Assistant City Manager works with city staff, elected officials,
and the public and helps to facilitate communication between the
City other governmental entities. He serves as Acting City Manager
in the absence of the City Manager. He coordiantes assigned projects
with Department Heads and City staff and compliles policy and procedural
reports and proposals.
Mike
is providing leadership for the Bartell redevelopment, the organization
of the Junction City Generals, and development of the City Budget.
He responds to citizen complaints and is actively involved in growth
and development issues in the city.

City
Treasurer/Finance Administrator
Joleen
Schnurr is the City Treasurer/Finance Administrator. She
became the City's finance officer in February 2006 after working
in Customer Service and as Water Dept. Supervisor for almost 10
years.
The City Treasurer/Finance
Administrator maintains the city's financial records, reconciles
financial statements, maintains the fixed asset system for all departments,
supervises daily banking activities and collects municipal revenues.
In addition
to assisting with preparation of the 2007 City Budget, Joleen is
preparing annual financial reports and working with the City's auditors
to maintain accurate financial records. Joleen is an expert in the
City's computerized record keeping system.
