PAWNEE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES Pawnee Mental Health Services is a community mental health center that has provided comprehensive services for residents of Junction City/Geary County for over twenty-five years. They also serve nine other counties in Northeast Kansas. This agency is a private, not-for-profit corporation, which provides services for any individual or family member who is in need and requesting of mental health services. There is an assortment of outpatient services, utilizing the modalities of individual, marital, family, and group therapy, as well as the provision of psychological and psychiatric evaluations. In addition to treating clientele of all different ages, there are also special services for substance abuse problems, as well as services for the aged. Screening services are provided to courts and other agencies for evaluating individual needs for mental health services. All inquiries are strictly confidential. All therapists are licensed, registered by the State of Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board, to ensure qualified professionals. FEES: Clients may qualify for an adjusted fee based upon financial situation. Approved by major insurance plans.
A community-based women’s group that concentrates on the implementation of community service projects. Assistance and support is given to individual programs in the areas of fund raising, nursing home residents, the handicapped and educational workshops for women on various issues.
