The
DAR is a national society founded by women for historical, educational
and patriotic purposes. It publishes a Manual for Citizenship to
assist immigrants to become naturalized citizens. Two schools are
supported in the Appalachian area as well as a school for American
Indians in Oklahoma. The DAR Library at National Headquarters is
one of the finest genealogical libraries in the world. Many scholarships
and awards are given annually to youth. The DAR placed 12 Madonna
of the Trial monuments across the country. The Kansas chapters have
marked the Santa Fe Trail and also have helped landscape the Eisenhower
Center in Abilene. The local Lois Warner Chapter annually presents
the DAR ROTC Medal to an outstanding cadet at Junction City High
School.

HOURS: Meets 1:30 p.m. the 3rd Monday of each month at various members’
homes.

Supports
the Disabled American Veterans and their families socially, economically
and spiritually. Works for betterment of all wounded, injured and
disabled veterans. Stimulates a feeling of mutual devotion, helpfulness
and comradeship among members and encourages a spirit of understanding.

Dotson Community Childcare Center is a Licensed childcare facility,
licensed for children 6 weeks – 12 years of age. School age
care will be enrolled on a case-by-case basis. After School Care
Program will only provide care up to the age of 6 years and transportation
