How do I get rid of Large Items or Recycling Items?

For Large Items you need to call in a Special Trash Pickup-Call 238-7142

  • There is a minimum cost of $59.00, but it could be more depending on the weight of the items.
  • Calls must be placed by Friday for Monday's pick up.
  • Special pickups are for large items such as a broken washer or dryer, a refrigerator that a technician has removed the Freon from, large broken furniture, etc... You can call if you have questions about what can be picked up.
  • On a regular trash day if you have a large amount of trash there is a chance only half will be picked up and the other half picked up the next week, it depends on the weight - the biggest bag allowed is a 40 gallon bag.

Recycling

Recycling helps create the products we use everyday -- from soda containers to writing paper, household chemicals and automobile products. Recycling mines valuable materials out of garbage to make new products. That's what makes it one of the oldest environmental practices and one of the most beneficial.
