North Jackson Ditch Beautification--This is a KDOT funded
beautification project. It includes addition of drainage structures
to replace the open ditch, along with the addition of a walking
path and removal of guardrail.
- East
Chestnut Street --This is a widening project including sidewalk,
curb and gutter, storm drainage, and landscaping. The project
connects to the proposed East Street intersection. The project
is from the intersection to east of the RR tracks. This project
is partially funded by KDOT.
- Spring
Valley Road McFarland Road to Wildcat Lane Street Improvements
--
Project consists of reconstruction of county road with ditches
to City collector street using concrete surfacing with curb and
gutter. Project will include major grading and storm sewer improvements
with a reinforced box culvert. Project is 4,400 feet in length
to be constructed in phases to maintain access and traffic control.
Construction is to begin in August of 2008, with anticipated completion
in late spring 2009.
- Intersection
Improvements K-18 Highway & Karns Drive
Project consists of providing access street and driveway to new
middle school off of K-18 Highway. Project will provide widening
of K-18 Highway using asphalt surfacing for acceleration and deceleration
lanes. Karns Drive will be a 41 foot collector street, using concrete
surfacing and curb and gutter, approximately 1,200 feet in length.
Construction will begin in August of 2008 with completion expected
in late spring 2009.
- Rucker
Road- US- 77 to Whitney Road --
The
project includes the reconstruction of approximately 1.25 miles
of roadway with concrete pavement and curb & gutter and an
80 ft. prestressed concrete beam bridge. Construction will begin
in August 2008 and the contractor is required to complete construction
by early summer 2009.
