The City Prosecutor prosecutes violations of municipal law, to include criminal and traffic offenses and other Code violations. Ralph De Zago was appointed City Prosecutor in March 2007. He received degrees from Fordham University and Kansas State University and served in the U.S. Army from 1971-75. He earned a J.D. from the University of Kansas in 1981. He served as a Public Defender in north central Kansas for 18 years. He joins the City of Junction City after four years in the Kansas Attorney General's office.
